(A) Saturday Parent Group - ABA Basics
Program Objectives:
Welcome to our Saturday Parent Group! We are dedicated to supporting parents of children at various learning stages, including those new to ABA-based intervention. This group provides an opportunity for parents seeking to enhance their understanding of effective techniques that can improve their children's language, communication, socialization, and play skills. We invite any parent interested in learning and exploring strategies that promote their children’s language learning and social interactions. If you’re looking for guidance, want to share your experiences, or are seeking a supportive learning community, we’re here for you. We work together to help our children develop important skills for their growth and success.

(B) Positive Parenting - Behaviour Management Support Program
Objectives:
The Positive Parenting group aims to help parents navigate challenges like tantrums, arguing, and disrespectful behaviours using techniques based on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). We empower parents by equipping them with the practical skills they need to set healthy boundaries and create a nurturing environment for a positive change at home. This program includes five engaging in-person group training sessions and four personalized private online sessions.
In-Person Group Sessions (5 total)
Our five interactive in-person sessions will provide a supportive learning environment where parents learn together. Each group session will focus on essential positive parenting skills based on ABA strategies, including effective communication, setting boundaries, and gaining cooperation. Participants will engage in discussions, role-playing exercises, and practical activities that encourage the application of these skills in real-life situations. Each group session is 1.5 hours long and delivered in English.
Private Online Check-in Sessions (4 total)
In addition to the group training sessions, parents will receive four individual online check-ins by a behavior consultant/BCBA. These private consultations will provide support for implementing the positive parenting strategies learned in the group sessions. Each online session is 15 minutes long and is offered in English and Japanese.
