Fun Club

Help young children with ASD learn how to take the appropriate ‘actions’ in a group setting.

Bi-Weekly

Fun Club is a bi-weekly group program for children who are ready to move from a 1:1 learning environment to a small group learning environment.  The group provides a safe and fun opportunity for children with developing social skills to practice peer socialization and increase their group skills.  The goal of the group is to prepare children for successful integration into larger social groups. 

Activities and Target Skills: 

Close-ended group games 

  • Turn-taking 

  • Following game rules 

  • Handling winning and losing appropriately 

Group projects 

  • Cooperation 

  • Resolving disagreements calmly 

Group conversation time 

  • Greetings 

  • Sharing about self 

  • Asking questions about others 

Peer Play 

  • Joint attention and attending 

  • Co-operative play skills
