Henry Au

Born in Hong Kong and moved to Vancouver, Canada, when he was 7 years old, Henry has enjoyed working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 2007 as a Behaviour Interventionist, then later as a Behaviour Consultant. His learners have ranged from young toddlers to late teenagers. The field of ASD and disabilities has all been more relevant and personal to him as he was diagnosed with ASD at Sunny Hill Health Centre in Vancouver when he was 9 years old, and he is also a parent of an autistic child.
He has been a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) since March 2016 and joined Bridge Kids the same year. He graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Sciences at the University of British Columbia. He then completed a Master of Science Degree in Special Studies: Autism Spectrum Disorder at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, with an emphasis on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) in 2013. He has been invited by various ASD advocacy and support organizations to speak on topics and lived experiences related to ASD.
Besides ASD and ABA, he enjoys performance cars and driving his MK7 VW Golf GTI, as well as hiking, camping, going on road trips, skiing, playing badminton and piano in his spare time.
Henry is fluent in English and Cantonese, with an intermediate level of Mandarin. 我識講流利廣東話同英文, 亦都識基本溝通嘅國語
