Description:
BKBC’s music program offers music lessons in a nurturing environment. It will be delivered based
on each child’s different needs, level, and ability. Children will have plenty of opportunities to
participate in music activities such as listening and singing songs to music, playing different
instruments, learning body percussion, improvising, and engaging in musical games. Children will
experience all of the above while learning different movements and various breathing techniques.
All classes will be structured, beginning with a welcoming song, followed by different activities, and
closing with relaxation through music.
Our mission is to help children to enhance their development of verbal and non-verbal
communication, and positive behaviour. Music will be used as the main tool to achieve different
behavioural objectives such as making eye contact, requesting items, choosing songs, learning to
listen to one another in a group setting, and following instructions from the leader. By gaining these
skills through music-related activities and involvement, the child’s abilities will be strengthened and
transferred to other areas of their lives, providing new avenues for communication, improving
coordination and motor skills as well as developing cognition, social, play, and emotional skills.
