ARTS & CRAFTS PLAYDATE

 

Time: 1:30 pm -3:00 pm

Term 1: September 8th – December 15th, 2018 (4 months)

               Cost: $1,015

               13 sessions (No class on October 6th and November 10th, 2018)

Term 2: January 5th – March 9th, 2018 (3 months)

               Cost: $715

               9 sessions (No class on February 16th, 2018)

Term 3:  April 6th - June 22, 2018 (3 months)

              Cost: $ 790

               10 sessions (No class on April 20th and May 18th, 2018)

Description:

​

The group is designed for the children have done well in 1:1 instruction but would benefit from a small group format that is able to provide individualized support while also teaching them to manage themselves during tasks when adult attention is divided between several children. 

 

A theme and activities will be planned and prepared in advance that will provide the children with opportunities to work on their communication and social skills with peers within creative and cooperative activities.

 

Each child’s consultant will make sure that the group facilitators running the group know the individual goals for each child, their strengths, and areas in which they may need more support. We will also work on pairing the children so that they learn to provide peer support to each other based on their own personal strengths.

 

As a side benefit, we are hoping that the children form friendships with each other that can be fostered outside of the group through play dates. We also hope that parents enjoy the opportunity to connect with other parents who have had similar parenting experiences.

Payment: The program fee must be paid in full by the first class of each term.
