We usually meet at 11 am or 11:30 am.

Participants will decide where to go and what activities to do; therefore, the end time will be determined. Each outing will be between 3 and 5 hours.

Program Objective: 

 

Join our Teen Outing program designed for teens with autism, focusing on fostering independence, social confidence, and essential life skills. Participants will learn to navigate public transportation, budget effectively, and gain practical autonomy. Engaging in group activities will boost social confidence and communication abilities. Dining out with peers encourages connection and teaches dining etiquette. Teens will master organizing and managing hangouts and nurturing leadership skills. Exploring the city together creates opportunities for discovery and personal growth. Our supportive team ensures individualized attention for a comfortable experience. Program Structure:

 

Teens Outing program offers a dynamic small-group setting for students to provide you with not just outings but genuine adventures that foster independence, boost social confidence, and celebrate your unique abilities. Leave behind the virtual world and step into a realm where real-life experiences await!

 

Students in this program will learn how to:

Journey to Independence​:

  • Uncover the thrill of mastering life skills that pave the way for greater independence. From confidently navigating public transportation to using ride-sharing services like Uber, students will gain practical skills that empower them to navigate the world confidently. 

 

Dine and Connect:

  • Experience the joy of dining out at local restaurants, where students will learn social etiquette, budgeting skills, and ordering their favourite meal. We will practice increasing confidence in public dining and enrich various aspects of their life.

Organize and Thrive:

  • Learn to organize and manage hangouts with friends – a skill that opens doors to meaningful social interactions. Through guided activities, students will discover the joy of planning and coordinating, enhancing their ability to create memorable experiences.

Explore with Friends:

  • Forge connections with fellow program participants during exciting outings celebrating their unique strengths. Experience the joy of shared adventures, strengthen friendships, and create a supportive circle that understands and celebrates them.

 

Measurement:

 

Regular assessments track progress in each social communication skill and daily living skill. Success is measured through observable improvements in group participation, outings, peer interactions, and the application of learned skills in real-life social situations. Feedback from participants and their caregivers also contributes to ongoing program refinement.

Each outing lasts between 3 to 5 hours and

3 hours = $105

4 hours = $140
