Saturn

New! Coming in the winter term!

Program Objective: 

 

The Saturn program is designed for teenagers to participate in various group and peer plays at the recreational centre, parks, and BridgeKids centre. Activities include sports, video games, card/board games, and group projects based on the group's consensus. It focuses on fostering independence, social confidence, and social communication skills. Participants will work on expanding their interests, accepting other's choices and practicing conversation skills to connect with peers and teachers. Saturn's program offers a dynamic small-group setting for students to boost their social skills through plays and interactions with others.

Building friendship​:

  • Students will participate in shared interests and fun activities with peers to strengthen the relationship.

 

Perspective-taking:

  • Through natural environment play and interactions, students will practice taking other's opinions and choices and enhance their understanding of other people's viewpoints​

 

Organization skills:

  • Learn to organize and manage activities with friends. Through guided activities, students will plan and coordinate the schedule with peers.

Reciprocal conversation:

  • Students will participate in back-and-forth discussions when participating in plays and share their experiences with their friends and family.

 

Program Structure:

  • Facilitated peer plays

  • Natural environment plays

  • Group learning and discussions

 

This is suitable for you and your child if...

 

  1. Your child needs to strengthen his/her flexibility and accepting

  2. Your child has minimal interests

  3. Your child has difficulty maintaining friendships

  4. Your child has conflicts between friends and family members.

 

Measurement: 

  • The Group's program will employ different teaching strategies based on Applied Behaviour Analysis, such as modelling, incidental teaching and natural environment teaching.

a Behaviour Consultant and a Behaviour Interventionist
